Elisha Reid, M.Ed.

Chairperson, Executive Director, Director of Organizational Development

Reid has served and mentored homeless and foster youth for the past several years. She joined California Youth Connection (CYC), as the Director of Member Engagement in May 2017. Prior to CYC, Reid served as the Employment and Education Program Director at Covenant House California, a homeless shelter for transitional aged youth. She partnered with community businesses and educational institutions to provide youth with education and employment opportunities in Los Angeles, CA. 

Her scope of work also includes involvement with the Foster Youth Mentor Program for the San Diego County Office of Education. She received a Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Reid is committed to empowering those around her and advocating for change in her community. Her philosophy is to provide opportunities for personal development and growth through a holistic approach while empowering youth to become their best self.
